I'm Joyce from Réunion Island (a French tropical island in the middle of Indian Ocean). I came to Amsterdam definitely not for the cold, but for the warm atmosphere of a nice place to work.
I am in my last year of my Master's degree at Vatel Hospitality Management School in Bordeaux, France. I have always been interested in joining and discovering new communities and have worked and interned at several luxury hotels. Today, my principal goal is to show that hotels can be sustainable while still offering luxury services.
I decided to do an internship at Innovation Lighthouse to gain more experience related to sustainability and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and learn how to implement these principles at different levels of our society to achieve economic, social, and environmental impacts. This internship will give me first-hand experience working in sustainability.
I will be working on two main projects over the next 6 months: a sustainability toolkit for hotel managers and a concept for a green hotel room.
The Innovation Lighthouse team can’t wait to show you our progress on these two projects!
